Job summary

The Aquatic Center at the Resource Connection in Fort Worth is seeking a part-time Lifeguard to supervise the facility during activities, assist with water safety, and provide customer service. The role includes monitoring water chemistry and assisting with program operations.

Qualifications include current lifeguard certification (deep or shallow water), First Aid and CPR/AED, plus 18+ years of age. Prior lifeguard and water exercise teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current certification in Deep Water or Shallow Water Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• One year of lifeguarding experience preferred.
• Experience teaching water exercise classes preferred.
• Knowledge of water chemistry, chemicals, and processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patrons of the Aquatics Center. Enforces pool rules and curtails improper use.
• Provides rescues and first aid as needed; documents incidents.
• Maintains pool sectioning for water exercise classes and learn to swim programs.
• Ensures proper patron-to-lifeguard ratios and logs bather load every half hour.
• Clears and locks pool area at closing; checks safety equipment.
