Rutgers University-New Brunswick is seeking a Part-Time Instructor in Anthropology for the Spring 2026 semester to teach a 200-level course: Anthropology of the Middle East. The successful candidate will handle the full range of duties from preparing course materials to grading and final grade submission.

Qualifications

• Minimum education and experience: MA or ABD/PhD in Anthropology or a closely related field; prior teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare course material and syllabus.
• Present material during the assigned course times.
• Hold office hours and provide appropriate out-of-class time for students.
• Respond to student emails and grade assessments.
• Submit final grades.
• Course appointments may occur in-person, online, hybrid, or remotely as needed by the department.
