Saint Luke's Physician Group is seeking a BC/BE part-time anesthesiologist to cover weekends on our expanding Main Operating Room (MOR) team at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City. The successful candidate will join a vibrant hospital department comprising over 170 anesthesiologists, critical care intensivists, CRNAs, AAs, Anesthesia Residents, and Advanced Practice Providers.

About the position

• Part-time role expected to work Saturdays and Sundays from 7AM to 7PM.
• Perform anesthesia for MOR cases including general, orthopedic, robotic thoracic, ENT, OB/GYN, urology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, GI lab, kidney transplants, and OOOR procedures.
• Hearts, major vascular, liver transplantation, and CV lab are managed by a separate cardiac team.
• Work within a collaborative care team model using medical direction at ratios of 1:2 or 1:3; physicians provide anesthesia personally on an infrequent basis.
• Physician-led organization with opportunities for faculty appointment through the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC).
• Part of an anesthesia residency program with 18 residents and 7 interns, expanding to 32 residents.
• Competitive compensation package recently adjusted.
• Candidates should have 1-3 years of dedicated general anesthesiology experience or be in the process of or recently graduated from an accredited ACGME anesthesiology residency.
• Must be eligible for medical licenses in Missouri and Kansas.
