Job summary

The City of Burlington NC's Parks and Recreation department is seeking a part-time Amusement Park ride operator for Burlington City Park. This role will primarily involve operating and supporting the Denztel Carousel or Miniature Diesel Train, with on-site training provided.

You will perform safety checks, assist guests, explain ride rules, and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. Weekend shifts and varying schedules through the season are required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Open and close assigned rides at the start and end of each day.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on your assigned ride to ensure proper functioning.
• Explain ride rules and safety regulations to participants in a friendly and professional manner.
• Operate one of two amusement park rides, including the Denztel Carousel and Miniature Diesel Train.
• Continuously oversee ride activity to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
