Job summary

Harbor-Villa-Care-Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a part-time AM shift in Anaheim, CA. The RN will provide routine nursing care to residents in accordance with applicable standards and directives, conveying kindness, dignity, and respect in all interactions.

The role involves assessing/resolving patient needs, charting progress, administering medications, dressing wounds, and collaborating with LVNs, CNAs, and physicians. Licensing, CPR/BLS, and an active RN are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
• Ability to use computer or tablet to enter resident data
• Minimum of 1 year of skilled nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assessment and development of resident care plans
• Ensuring that all nursing care is provided in privacy
• Checking vital signs
• Dressing wounds
• Passing out medications
• Assisting with admissions
• Making rounds with physicians
• Starting IVs
• Listening to residents and their families
• Addressing questions/concerns of residents
• Performing accurate and detailed charting of resident progress notes
• Providing assistance to LVNs and CNAs
• Ensuring equipment is in good operating order
• Monitoring residents that are at risk for falls
• Collecting lab samples
• Abiding with all facility policies and procedures including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords
• Following Infection and Control policies
• Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
• Attending annual facility in-service training programs
• Completing other assignments when requested by management
