Position Summary

The Part-Time AM Glass Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of interior and exterior glass throughout the shopping center. This position requires a dependable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality cleaning services and maintaining a professional appearance throughout the property. The employee will ensure that glass surfaces are clean, streak-free, and presentable before the shopping center opens to the public.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean interior and exterior glass, including entrance doors, display glass, partitions, mirrors, and other designated glass surfaces.
• Remove fingerprints, smudges, handprints, water spots, and other visible marks from glass surfaces.
• Clean and maintain main entrances, mall common areas, high-traffic walkways, and other assigned locations.
• Ensure glass doors, frames, door handles, and surrounding areas are clean and free of visible residue.
• Perform scheduled glass-cleaning routes throughout the shopping center, including common areas and designated tenant storefronts as assigned.
• Use appropriate glass-cleaning products, tools, and equipment to achieve streak-free results.
• Follow all safety procedures when using ladders, extension poles, cleaning chemicals, and other equipment.
• Place caution signs when necessary and maintain safe working conditions for employees, tenants, and visitors.
• Inspect completed work to ensure all assigned areas meet company quality standards.
• Report damaged glass, loose hardware, maintenance concerns, or other property issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a clean, organized, and serviceable condition.
• Complete assigned tasks within the scheduled shift and follow all directions provided by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous commercial glass-cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently work the scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to safely lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established safety procedures.
• Professional attitude and ability to work respectfully around tenants, coworkers, and property management.

Work Schedule

This is a part-time position scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM , for a total of 18 scheduled hours per week. The employee must arrive on time and be prepared to begin work at the start of each shift.

Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will consistently maintain clean, streak-free glass throughout assigned areas of the shopping center. Work must be completed efficiently, safely, and with attention to detail, ensuring the property presents a clean and professional appearance for tenants, shoppers, and management.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This position requires working both indoors and outdoors, depending on assigned cleaning areas. Duties may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, frequent walking and standing, repetitive arm movements, and the use of commercial cleaning equipment. All work must be performed in accordance with company safety policies and property requirements.
