Qualifications

• Active certification, license, credential, or documented professional qualification in the program area.
• Direct professional experience in healthcare or allied health.
• Ability to teach and assess entry‑level healthcare skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and student support skills.
• Experience teaching adult learners; flexibility for evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Teach or support short-term healthcare workforce courses in online, hybrid, or in-person formats.
• Provide instruction aligned with curriculum, certification requirements, employer expectations, and student learning outcomes.
• Lead hands-on labs, demonstrations, practice sessions, simulations, and competency checkoffs.
• Evaluate student readiness and document attendance, participation, skills performance, and completion requirements.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and remediation to students preparing for entry-level healthcare roles.
• Reinforce workplace expectations, including professionalism, communication, attendance, safety, confidentiality, and patient-centered care.
• Support students using online learning platforms, course materials, and certification preparation resources.
• Collaborate with the Director of Workforce Development, program leads, employer partners, and other instructors to ensure program quality.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment.
• Follow all applicable D'Youville policies, program requirements, clinical expectations, and certification or regulatory standards.
