Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Arlington, VA, to monitor and safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sectors. The role involves patrolling, access control, and alarm response, with a strong emphasis on professional customer service.

You will work with a flexible schedule and participate in our shift-claim platform. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background checks, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout corporate office areas, technology workspaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
