Job summary

Global Elite Group is hiring Airport Security Officers to support operations at Portland International Jetport (PWM). Officers will maintain a visible security presence, control traffic and access, patrol terminal and perimeter areas, and coordinate with airport and federal partners to ensure safe, efficient operations.

This role requires professionalism, strong situational awareness, and a customer‑oriented de-escalation approach.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid Maine Class C driver's license.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a 10-year background investigation, fingerprinting, and badging process as required by TSA and the City of Portland.
• Must successfully complete all initial and recurrent training required by Global Elite Group and airport regulations.
• Ability to effectively speak, read, and write in English.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently and as part of a coordinated security team.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and work in variable weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible security presence at the airport facilities.
• Provide traffic and access control at the terminal curb and other posts.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of terminal and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents in coordination with airport and federal partners.
• De-escalate situations with a calm, customer‑oriented approach.
• Document activities, incidents, and observations in daily logs and reports.
