Job summary

Global Elite Group is hiring an Airport Security Officer at Newark Liberty International Airport. The role involves monitoring security, access control, patrols, and reporting incidents to maintain safe operations at the airport.

The position requires 18+ years of age, a valid State Security License, and the ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge with TSA/FBI/CBP checks. A full-time hourly wage of $21.25 applies with paid training and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, write, and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States.
• Ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge with Customs seal, which includes a background check and security threat assessment by TSA, FBI, and CBP.
• Must pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams.

Responsibilities

• Reporting actual or potential breach of airport security.
• Maintain all communication protocols in a professional and efficient manner.
• Alarm and emergency response and liaison with airport stakeholders and first responders.
• Maintaining access control to secured areas within the airport.
• Verify personal identification and access badge for secured areas.
• Access control in designated areas.
• Patrolling secure areas of the airport and interacting with traveling public.
• Prepare written reports and records of all events and incidents.

Position Overview

• Reporting actual or potential breach of airport security
• Maintain all communication protocols in a professional and efficient manner
• Alarm and emergency response, including communicating with necessary airport community stakeholders and first responders to ensure timely response to all reported incidents
• Maintaining access control to secured areas within the airport
• Verify personal identification and access badge of person(s) requesting entrance to secured areas
• Access control in designated areas
• Patrolling secure areas of the airport; providing crowd control and interacting with traveling public in a professional and courteous manner
• Prepare written reports and records of all events, i.e., discrepancies, security incidents or breaches

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid State Security License
• Upon hire, must provide proof of legal right to work in the United States
• Ability to effectively speak, write, and understand the English language
• Ability to obtain an airport SIDA badge with Customs seal, which includes a background check and security threat assessment conducted by the TSA, FBI, and CBP
• Must be able to pass all initial and recurrent training classes and exams as administered by Global Security and Airport Authority
• Must have access to reliable transportation
