Job Summary:
M1 is looking for a part-time AGE/Vehicle Mechanic who will perform maintenance tasks and activities in the
Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) shop and minor maintenance on company owned/operated vehicles.
Perform all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on powered and non-powered equipment.
Perform maintenance per Federal, State, Local and Company directives. Maintain files on all work performed.
Monitor bench stock items and request items as needed in support of department.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Performs maintenance actions on non-powered and powered AGE and support
equipment per applicable technical directives.
2. Performs effective corrosion control maintenance per applicable technical directives.
3. Completes all necessary manual and automated records required by USAF and Company
directives.
4. Performs all phases of pump, drive train, engine and general repairs.
5. Operates portable fire extinguishers.
6. Maintains and utilizes the appropriate PPE for maintenance operations.
7. Files work sheets for maintenance accomplished on all units with department Lead or Senior.
8. Maintains hand and power tools per applicable directives.
9. Complies with the requirements of the FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control,
environmental and safety programs.
10. Perform Minor vehicle maintenance tasks as required.
11. Inspects and maintains CASS and T-6 Rectifier Systems using applicable factory manuals.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Knowledge - Must have a thorough knowledge of vehicle and AGE equipment repairs,
troubleshooting of systems, sub-systems and associated equipment and applicable
publications. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance is desired.
Education - Completion of high school or equivalent is required. Completion of specialized
courses is desired. The ability to read and write and to comprehend technical data is required.
Experience - A minimum of two (2) years of experience in powered AGE/vehicle
maintenance or diesel-fueled equipment repair is required. Experience in air-conditioning
system repair is desired.
Special Conditions - Good verbal and written skills.

Working Conditions:
* Must be able to lift a minimum weight of 50 lbs.
* Must be able to stand or stoop for prolonged periods of time.
