  • Energetic and comfortable leading groups of children.
  • Patient, caring, and able to remain calm in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communicators who enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Flexible, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
  • Passionate about creating positive experiences for children.

Qualifications

  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks and onboarding requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not required.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, approximately 2:00 PM–6:00 PM.
  • Programs follow the NYC DOE school calendar.
  • Opportunities for additional hours during School Break Camps and Summer Camp may be available.
  • Occasional staff meetings and professional development trainings are required.

This is an active, hands‑on role. Counselors spend their afternoons interacting with children, leading activities, supervising transitions, supporting behavior, and ensuring every child has a safe and enjoyable experience.
