Job summary

Bright Horizons at Windermere is hiring a part-time Teacher for afternoons (1:00 pm–6:00 pm, Monday–Friday). You will create hands-on activities, communicate with parents about daily milestones, and maintain a safe, clean classroom following Bright Horizons policies.

Eligible candidates have 18+ years old with a HS diploma, and may have CDA or related degree. Experience in child care is preferred; background checks and Florida clearinghouse screening are required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) is required.

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child’s daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.

Education

High school diploma or GED

College-level coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or associate/bachelor’s degree
