Job summary

YMCA of Catawba Valley in Conover, North Carolina, is seeking a Part-Time Early Childhood Floater to support preschool classrooms and align with YMCA values. Schedule: 12:30pm–6:00pm, with duties across birth-5 years and substitutions as needed.

You will assist Lead Teachers, help with meals, and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment. Requirements include being at least 18, a HS diploma or GED, reliable transportation, strong communication, and the ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Assist Lead Teachers and Teachers in their classrooms.
Assist with cooking, prepping and serving meals.
Giving Lead Teachers and Teachers breaks and lunch breaks.
Caring for children ranging in ages from birth-5 years.
Bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Filling in for Lead Teachers and Teachers in their absence.
