Job summary

The Learning Experience - Ledgewood is seeking a reliable Part-Time Floater Teacher to support afternoon classrooms and close the day with children and families. The role offers a short, consistent weekday schedule (3:00 PM–6:00 PM) with no evenings or weekends.

You will rotate across early childhood classrooms, assist with activities and transitions, and help maintain safe, clean, and engaging environments while meeting New Jersey licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in childcare, daycare, preschool, or working with children preferred.
• Comfortable supporting different classrooms and age groups.
• Reliable and consistently available 3:00 PM–6:00 PM.
• Positive, energetic, flexible, and team-oriented.
• Ability to meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide afternoon support across early childhood classrooms.
• Assist teachers with activities, transitions, and pick-up routines.
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, and outdoor activities.
• Assist with snacks, classroom cleanup, and end-of-day routines.
• Provide classroom coverage as needed to maintain required ratios.
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized classroom environments.
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.
