Haledon Elementary School District is seeking a Part-Time Substitute After Care Worker to supervise students during snacktime, mealtime, and playtime, ensuring safety and orderly conduct. Rolling interviews apply and the role supports after-care activities across campus.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational skills, and a preference for bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Requires reliable transportation and ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during snacktime.
• Ensure tables and surrounding areas are clean.
• Supervise the playground, gym, and classrooms.
• Ensure students remain seated in assigned areas.
• Circulate among tables during mealtime to be available as needed.
• Organize groups for orderly dismissal from the cafeteria.
• Report safety concerns or incidents to teachers, principal, nurse or security.
• Distribute textbooks, supplies or other materials if requested.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
