Job summary

Haledon Board of Education seeks a Part-Time Substitute After Care Worker to assist in maintaining a safe atmosphere in the cafeteria, playground, and designated areas by supervising students during snacktime and playtime.

Responsibilities include keeping tables clean, overseeing groups for orderly dismissal, and reporting issues to teachers, principals, nurses, or security as appropriate. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge.
• Typical qualifications would be equivalent to prior caregiving/aid experience.
• Certification/License: DMV license or ability to provide own transportation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in cafeteria during snacktime and playtime.
• Assist with supervision in playground, gym, and classroom.
• Ensure students remain seated in assigned areas and organization during meals.
• Report infractions, safety concerns, injuries, or other issues to staff.
