Job summary

The Salvation Army Kroc Center in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an Educator Assistant (EA) for part-time after-school programs serving youth in grades K-7. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–7:30 PM, with occasional events on Saturdays if needed.

You will support the Educator I, help with homework, lead engaging activities, model positive behavior, and help organize Family Nights while ensuring a safe, clean environment and strong communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college credits in Education preferred.
• Experience in childcare or related field helpful.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized.
• Must be able to work with diverse population; safety oriented.
• Must complete PA Act 153 mandated reporter training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Educator I in traditional and non-traditional education and recreational activities for youth in grades K-7.
• Assist youth in grades K-7 with homework completion.
• Act as a role model with strong communication with participants, staff, and parents.
• Assist with planning and implementing special events and Family Nights.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
