Job summary

BBA Afterschool Inc. is seeking enthusiastic and dependable After-School Yoga Instructors to lead yoga and mindfulness classes for elementary students at Oak View Elementary School in Silver Spring, MD.

Part-time, Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM–5:00 PM, with 1.5-hour sessions. Curriculum and equipment are provided; no weekend work and opportunities for advancement within BBA Afterschool.

Qualifications

• Yoga teaching experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Comfortable working with students in grades K–5.
• Reliable transportation to Oak View Elementary School.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Must successfully complete the Montgomery County Public Schools background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging yoga and mindfulness sessions.
• Follow BBA's structured curriculum.
• Teach age-appropriate poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment.
• Supervise groups of approximately 15–25 students.
• Promote wellness, focus, confidence, and self-awareness.
• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership.
