Job summary

West Virginia Department of Education through Mingo County Schools is seeking certified school bus operators for after-school transportation. Positions are contract/hourly for an extracurricular program running on Tuesdays and Thursdays, November–April 2027 depending on enrollment.

Drivers will be paid $30 per day on days driven. Schedules may change with enrollment; if there are insufficient students on a run, that run may be discontinued. Program dates may shift.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified School Bus Operator for the State of WV.
• Must be an employee of Mingo County Schools.
• Contract/Hourly employment for extracurricular assignments.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school as assigned.
• Tuesday and Thursday routes depend on student participation.
• Some routes may be extended, shortened, or changed based on enrollment.
• If the program is shortened, drivers will be paid for days driven.
