Job summary

Lake Area Discovery Center in Eagan, MN is seeking a Part-Time After-School Pre-K Assistant Teacher to support the afternoon Pre-K program. You will work with the Lead Teacher and the teaching team to maintain a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment after the school day ends.

Qualifications

• Experience with preschool or Pre-K preferred.
• ECE coursework or experience is a plus.
• Must meet Minnesota childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with the daily Pre-K classroom routine.
• Engage with children during learning activities, centers, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Support a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
• Assist with afternoon activities and end-of-day routines.
• Work collaboratively with Lead Teachers, assistants, and on-site staff.
• Follow Minnesota childcare licensing requirements.

Looking for a rewarding part-time afternoon position working with young children? Lake Area Discovery Center is hiring an After-School Pre-K Assistant Teacher at Faithful Shepherd's Discovery Center in Eagan, MN.

This position works alongside our Lead Teacher and teaching team to support Pre-K students during the afternoon portion of their school day. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is looking for consistent part-time, weekday afternoon hours in a supportive early childhood education environment.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Lead Teacher with the daily Pre-K classroom routine
• Engage with children during learning activities, centers, outdoor play, and transitions
• Support a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Assist with afternoon activities and end-of-day routines
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroomWork collaboratively with Lead Teachers, assistants, and on-site staff
• Follow LADC policies and Minnesota childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

Compensation & Benefits

• $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on education and experience

Salary Information
