Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Glendale, CA seeks an After-School Lead Teacher for the part-time program. The role runs Monday–Friday from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m., about 15–20 hours weekly. You will supervise up to 20 students, facilitate homework, and lead activities using provided classical curriculum.

Ideal candidates have some college or an education-related degree, plus at least 3 months in a qualifying setting. First aid/CPR is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Some college preferred but not required.
• Must meet qualifications for Teacher/Caregiver per AZDHS licensing.
• Lead Teachers must have 3 months of experience in a qualifying setting or a degree in education/related field.
• First aid/CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 20 students in a classroom setting.
• Facilitate homework, recess, and activities.
• Present lessons from provided classical curriculum.
• Follow procedures and document student behavior and incidents.
• Escalate serious matters to supervisor.
