Job summary

Kids in the Game is seeking part-time dance and creative movement specialists to lead after-school enrichment in NYC schools. You will plan engaging, age-appropriate dance lessons for Pre-K through middle school, promoting creativity, activity and self-expression while modeling the organization's core values.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching creative movement to groups of elementary and/or middle school children (≤140 chars).
• Two years of teaching experience in different creative movement and dance genres.
• Strong interpersonal skills to relate to younger children and school staff.
• Able to commit to after-school hours (2–6pm) on weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement structured dance lessons across multiple dance styles.
• Create progressive lesson plans to build skills, creativity, and confidence over time.
• Adapt programming to varying age groups and student needs.
• Organize informal performances or showcases when applicable.
• Attend staff trainings throughout the school year (virtual and in person).
• Foster a fun, welcoming, inclusive environment for all students.
