Job summary

Lighthouse Christian School, Inc. in Gig Harbor, WA seeks a part-time Extended Care Worker to supervise students before or after school, ensuring their safety and well-being in a Christ-centered environment.

The role requires a minimum age of 16, good communication, and the ability to multi-task. First Aid/CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens training is provided if needed. Hourly wage offered with part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• 1–2 years of experience with school-aged children preferred.
• First Aid, CPR and Bloodborne Pathogens certification required (provided by school if necessary).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Lighthouse school age children before or after the normal school day.
• Analyze situations and adopt appropriate action.
• Document injuries and incidents.
• Facilitate positive interactions with children and families.
• Communicate with extended care families and parents about incidents and needs.
• Administer discipline with support from Extended Care Manager.
• Be on time and ready to supervise at scheduled start time.
• Oversee check-in/out using the online student clock system.
