Job summary

The Montessori Academy of Colorado is seeking a Part-Time ECE After School Assistant to support the after school program from 3:00-5:30 or 3:30-5:30. The role involves working with children aged 2–6, collaborating with coordinators and teachers, and helping maintain clean, organized spaces both indoors and outdoors.

Qualifications include at least 18 years old with a relevant degree or credential, CPR/First Aid is a plus, and a passion for early childhood education.

Job Title: Part-Time ECE After School Assistant

Reports To: Lower School Director

Employee Classification: Part-time, Non-Exempt

Daily Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-5:30pm or 3:30pm-5:30pm

Salary: $19.30-$22.00/hour depending on the qualifications listed below

The Part-Time ECE After School Assistant will provide support in the after school program from 3:00-5:30 or 3:30-5:30. MAC’s after school program is designed with both time for structured and unstructured play and activities. The aide is also responsible to help maintain a clean and orderly environment both inside and outside.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 and have one of the following:
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • A 2 year college degree in child development or early childhood education from an accredited college or university
  • A current certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) or Certified Childcare Professional (CCP) or other Department-approved credential
  • Qualify as a professional child care assistant through a combination of hours and verifiable experience in a professional child care setting
  • Interested in a career as an Early Childhood Educator

Part-time, temporary and substitute employees will also accrue PTO during the school year at a rate of 1 hour of PTO per every 30 hours actually worked.
