Manhattan Youth seeks part-time After-school Teachers/Activities Specialists for the 2026-2027 school year in New York City. Responsibilities include designing curricula, creating lesson plans, and leading arts and activity clubs (singing, music, dance, theatre).

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience with middle or elementary school children, after-school setting preferred.
• Proactive, caring and results-oriented teaching approach.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design program curricula with Education Directors.
• Create lesson plans based on class descriptions and goals.
• Lead activities and guide student learning in a safe environment.
• Coordinate with staff to promote positive community and showcase student work.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
