Job summary

The Neighborhood Learning Center in Purcellville, VA is seeking a reliable part-time caregiver to supervise up to 30 school-aged children (K–5). Shifts are Monday–Friday, 2:00 pm–6:00 pm, with a friendly, collaborative team and a focus on fun, safety, and positive engagement.

Ideal candidates love working with kids, are energetic, and can bend, twist, and lift up to 30 pounds. Requirements include being 18 or older, reliable transportation, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher: Supervise children to ensure safety on the playground, front field, and classroom
• Oversee homework time and help children with their work if needed
• Serve snack
• Help run quick and fun activities for time before children are picked up
• Ensure children pack up all belongings and check out of the management app
• Close the classroom when all children have left, including spraying surfaces and putting away toys
