Job summary

The University of Cincinnati is seeking a part-time Research Assistant in Aerospace Engineering to assist with coordinating laboratory projects and contributing to VR-related design efforts onsite.

You will conduct primary and secondary research, perform experiments, analyze data, and prepare reports for the ODOT project team. A Bachelor’s degree and four years of related work experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; four years of related work experience can substitute for education.
• Experience in coordinating research projects and data collection is preferred.
• Familiarity with VR design or design interventions is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct primary and secondary research to gain foundational knowledge of the topic.
• Perform experiments and collect data according to research protocols.
• Interpret data and perform statistical and graphical analysis.
• Present findings and report to ODOT team in monthly update meetings.
• Report to and collaborate with the project’s PIs.
• Translate research findings into design interventions for virtual reality (VR) headsets.
• Plan and guide the strategic development and deployment of VR simulations.
• Assist in designing the VR experience.
