Job summary

Study Smart Tutors in Burlingame, CA seeks mentors with a 4-year degree in Animation or Digital Media and proficiency in Illustrator, Animate, and Blender to provide group mentoring and adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.

The role requires in-person availability, teaching or tutoring experience is desired, and a background check is required. Hours are scheduled for Wednesdays and Fridays: 1:00PM–3:00PM PST.

Qualifications

• Must hold a completed 4-year degree in Animation or Digital Media.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Animate, and Blender.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.
• In-person availability is required.
• Scheduled hours: Wednesday/Friday: Animation Mentor, 1:00PM -3:00PM PST.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.

Responsibilities

• Provide mentoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Mentors will have access to information about class assignments.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff.
• Partner with Study Smart's Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students.
