Job summary

Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is seeking an Adult Services Assistant for the Clark County Library. The role supports adults and seniors, providing reference, reader’s advisory, and periodicals services, while handling circulation duties under supervision.

The position is part-time (19 hours/week) with wage range $27.46–$36.80 per hour, and includes eligibility for merit and COLA increases. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience required.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check library materials in and out and manage customer accounts.
• Conduct reference interviews and direct patrons to resources.
• Assist with electronic resources and devices for patrons.
• Promote library programs and collections to customers.
• Assist with scheduling and use of equipment and meeting rooms.
