DESCRIPTION:

The Nassau BOCES Adult Career and Technical Education program provides industry-aligned career training and experiences to empower adults by assisting them with acquiring the employable skills necessary to assimilate into the 21st-century workforce. The Career and Technical Education program is seeking a part-time instructor to teach adults in our Adult Evening Welding Program. Instructors are responsible for teaching courses in both theory and practice that lead to the Structural Welding-Steel Examination. Courses include:

• Welding Fundamentals and Qualification
• American Welding Society (AWS) Qualification and Test Preparation

This part-time instructional position is held at the Adult Career and Technical Education Center in Westbury, NY two nights per week from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Industry related experience.
• Previous teaching experience is preferred.

SALARY:As per the Nassau BOCES Uniform Compensation Schedule.
