Job summary

Marathon County is seeking a Benefit Assistance Specialist to guide older adults and people with disabilities through Medicaid, Foodshare, Social Security, Medicare, and private insurance options. The role is based at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin-Wausau Office with occasional travel within the ADRC-CW region.

Position Summary

The Benefit Assistance Specialist provides information and assistance to older adults and adults with a disability regarding public and private benefits including but not limited to Medicaid, Foodshare, Social Security, Medicare and private insurance. The position works closely with internal teams and community partners to foster collaborative relationships ensuring proper referrals and effective support for individuals. The position is based at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin-Wausau Office. Occasional travel throughout the ADRC-CW service region for meetings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or relevant field.
• Work experience working with public benefits
• Valid driver’s license and insurance; or ability to obtain reliable transportation

Compensation

Starting Hourly Rate: $29.53 + Limited Marathon County benefits
