Outreach Development Corporation seeks a Part-Time Art Therapist for our Adolescent program in Brentwood, Long Island. The role involves planning, documenting, and overseeing recreational activities, both indoor and outdoor, to support client wellness and recovery.

The position emphasizes structured activities, note-taking, incident reporting, and collaboration with families and staff. AVATAR EHR experience is a plus; 3 days per week commitment expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in creative arts and/or recreational therapy.
• Commitment to quality services and outcome-driven performance measures.
• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
• Experience with AVATAR electronic health records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervised indoor recreational activities to clients.
• Provide supervised outdoor recreational activities to clients.
• Oversee indoor recreation in the weight room with clients.
• Plan and oversee special events with patients and their families.
• Provide supervisor with scheduled activities for participants in various treatment phases.
• Provide daily group notes indicating activities and participation.
• Complete and accurate reporting of incident reports and crisis intervention.
• Participate in supervisions.
• Communicate all pertinent information/incidents/emergencies via SAC book.
