Job summary

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) Europe seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Germany in the Writing, English, Speech, or Communication programs.

This part-time position requires a Master’s degree in Writing, English, Speech, or Communication and professional experience; candidates should be able to teach adult learners in higher education. Local applicants only; visa status must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Writing, English, Speech, Communication or related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience in a related field.
• Experience teaching adult learners in higher education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction and motivation.
• Guide students in collaborative, project-based learning demonstrations.
• Provide constructive feedback using rubrics and acknowledge accomplishments.
• Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and connect concepts across programs.
• Provide curricular feedback to the program chair for improvements.
