Job summary

The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is seeking an Adjunct Assistant Faculty to oversee, teach and direct pre-doctoral students in the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment and management of dental patients.

They support Group Leaders in evaluating the clinical and professional development of students and must be proficient to teach, demonstrate, and assess general practice procedures in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, and periodontics, including

Qualifications

• DDS, DMD or equivalent degree required.
• Minnesota license to practice dentistry required and in good standing.
• Five or more years' experience in general dentistry.
• AEGD or GPR certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, teach and direct pre-doctoral students in comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment, and management of dental patients.
• Support Group Leaders in evaluating clinical and professional development of students.
• Teach, demonstrate, and assess general practice procedures in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, and periodontics, including dental emergencies.

Education

DDS, DMD or equivalent degree

License to practice dentistry in Minnesota

Five or more years' experience in the practice of general dentistry
