Job summary

Chaminade University of Honolulu seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach courses in the Masters and Doctor Marriage and Family Therapy programs. You will support students from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented groups, and report to the Dean of the School of Education and Behavior Sciences.

The role involves teaching both in-person and online formats, curriculum involvement, advising, and university service on a part-time, exempt basis.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or a related field.
Doctorate degree in Human Development & Family Science/Family Social Science and/or MFT, Psychology, Counselor Education, or closely related field.
Previous college teaching experience, especially with diverse and non-traditional student populations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a diverse university community.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality courses (in-person and online) aligned with program goals and university standards.
Engage students through innovative teaching methods and active learning strategies.
Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation efforts.
Advise and mentor students enrolled in MFT graduate courses and hold regular office hours.
