The University of New Mexico-Gallup Branch in Gallup, NM invites qualified applicants to join as adjunct faculty to teach lower-division courses within the Liberal Arts & Education Division. Positions are temporary, part-time, and contingent on enrollment and course offerings for Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027.

Adjunct faculty will teach face-to-face or online courses including FYEX 1010, FYEX 1020, FYEX 1030, FYEX 1110, FYEX 1120; develop materials, assess student learning, and report

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in any field.
• Preferred Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Education, English, or Mathematics.
• College-level teaching experience is preferred.
• Commitment to cultivate understanding of diverse cultures and communities.

Responsibilities

• Teach lower division courses in various topics as assigned.
• Meet with classes at scheduled times including evenings or weekends if required.
• Develop course content, assignments, and assessments.
• Grade assignments and report grades to the division chair.
• Assess student learning as outlined by the division chair.
