Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College, East Chicago, IN, seeks adjunct faculty for temporary, part-time roles hired each semester on an as-needed basis.

You will create a learning environment, provide effective instruction and assessment within syllabi, and manage attendance and grading records using standard policies.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree (preferably in a related field) and related field experience; background checks are required before employment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, preferably in related field.
• Experience in teaching or instructional settings.
• Background checks required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught and follow syllabus content and requirements.
• Maintain student attendance and grading records per College policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time.
• Use Blackboard, PowerPoint and other instructional tools as appropriate.
• Meet all scheduled classes of contracted courses.
• Promote diversity and inclusive practices.
