Job summary

University of New Mexico seeks adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Anthropology for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027. Openings span Archaeology, Evolutionary, General Anthropology, Medical, Public Archaeology, Sociocultural and Linguistic Anthropology.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Anthropology or subfield.
• Post-secondary teaching experience required.
• Two years professional experience in the specialization or subfield.
• Ability to teach courses using multiple modalities (in-person, remote, online).

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Anthropology as listed above.
• Deliver the course curriculum, develop and grade assignments, and assess learning outcomes.
• Report grades to the Chair and participate in departmental outcomes assessment.
