Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers in Dothan, AL is seeking a part-time physician to join our outpatient program delivering methadone and buprenorphine treatment with medical oversight. Responsibilities include patient histories, physical exams, dosing management, EMR documentation, supervision of PAs and NPs, and annual medication reviews, along with coverage for Medical Director absences.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Addiction Medicine or any residency.
• Must be licensed in the State of Alabama.
• Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) is preferred.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to interact compassionately with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment.
• Cover absences for Medical Director during vacations and meetings.
• Obtain history and perform physical exams.
• Document in EMR and enter dosing orders.
• Monitor dosages with treatment center team.
• Consult high-risk patients and perform annual reviews.
• Supervise physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
• Other related duties as assigned.
