Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement recreational and therapeutic activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
• Assess residents’ abilities to create personalized activity plans promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
• Facilitate group and individual activities, encouraging participation and social interaction.
• Monitor and document residents’ responses, adjusting plans to maximize engagement.
• Collaborate with staff, family members, and healthcare professionals to align with care plans.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment, following safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement recreational and therapeutic activities tailored to the needs and interests of residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
• Assess residents’ abilities and preferences to create personalized activity plans that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
• Facilitate group and individual activities, encouraging participation and social interaction among residents.
• Monitor and document residents’ responses to activities, adjusting plans as needed to maximize engagement and benefits.
• Collaborate with staff, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure activities support residents’ overall care plans.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during all activities, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

• Proven experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or a related field, preferably with seniors or in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of therapeutic activities suitable for seniors, including those with memory impairments.

• Flexibility to work approximately 20 hours per week, including weekends.
• Relevant certifications or training in recreational therapy or activity coordination are preferred.
