Job summary

Aristacare LLC is seeking an Activity Aide to support planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents in a geriatric care setting. This role emphasizes building positive relationships with residents and colleagues, and requires energy, a positive attitude, and comfort working with seniors and individuals with special needs.

Shifts available are part-time, every other weekend from 8AM to 4PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in recreation within a geriatric or healthcare setting.
• Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Memory Care is a plus.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents and facility staff.
• Energetic and positive attitude.
• Comfortable working with elderly, sick, or individuals with special needs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift equipment for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual activity programs of the facility.
• Observe residents progress in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, as directed by supervisors.
