Part Time Position Available

Rate: starting $15/hour

May be required to handle resident smoke breaks and building monitor duties, which require sitting outside the building.

Purpose/Belief Statement

The Activities Leader provides individualized activity care and services for residents, functioning as part of the activities department and interdisciplinary team for assigned units, fostering team success while managing resources.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead various activities: one-to-one and group, on/off units, community outings.
• Provide supplies and equipment for activities.
• Assist in planning, developing, coordinating, and evaluating resident-centered activities.
• Plan and schedule holiday, special events, religious services, outings, and community involvement.
• Decorate for holidays and events as needed.
• Escort residents to activities.
• Follow up on behavioral episodes with residents.
• Participate in community outings with residents.
• Arrange for specialized services if needed.
• Post activity schedules, posters, and announcements.
• Coordinate activity plans with staff and departments.
• Involve residents and families in planning activities.
• Maintain up-to-date activity documentation.
• Monitor programming and assist residents with ADL needs.
• Supervise volunteers and participate in fundraising if applicable.
• Promote positive community relationships.
• Perform clerical tasks and attend training sessions.
• Follow policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.

Qualifications, Knowledge/Skills & Abilities

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in healthcare preferred.
• Experience with related software applications.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Effective communication skills.
