Job summary

Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, part of Athena Health Care Systems, is hiring part-time Activities Assistants in Plymouth, MA. Weekly pay is $17 per hour with two shifts: Sun–Wed 9:30am–5:00pm and Mon–Sat with varied starts at 9:30am.

As an Activities Assistant, you will help plan, organize, and direct the recreation program to support residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being, following the assessment. High school diploma or equivalent; training available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the recreation department’s activities.
• Build relationships with residents and tailor programming to interests.
• Coordinate and run events and activities.
• Encourage participation to stimulate physical, mental, social, and spiritual well‑being.
• Document and report significant findings and events.
