Job summary

Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, operated by Athena Health Care Systems, is seeking part-time Activities Assistants to join a creative recreation team in Plymouth, MA. You will help plan, organize, develop, and direct a program that promotes residents’ physical, mental and psychosocial well-being.

Two shifts are available; Sun–Wed 9:30a–5p and varied shifts Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri, Sat starting at 9:30a. High school diploma required; we can train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and run activities programming.
• Learn residents' interests and tailor programming.
• Organize group and individual activities.
• Generate ideas to excite participation.
• Encourage participation to support well being.
• Assist with care goals within the therapy team.
• Document and report significant findings.
