Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with basic PC use and Microsoft Word/Excel.
• Knowledge of best Activities practices.
• Patient, cheerful, and able to engage residents with varying maturity and physical levels.
• HIPAA/Confidentiality awareness.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement activity programs for residents.
• Assist in evaluating residents’ backgrounds, interests and abilities.
• Document activity plans and progress notes as directed.
• Work with Activities Director to prepare and set up activities and calendars.
• Help develop monthly activity calendars and facility newsletters.
• Ensure safety, infection control and a clean work environment.
