Job summary

Berlin Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Aide for a part-time position. The role runs 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, 1–2 days per week, with a pay rate of $15.92 per hour.

You will help plan and run resident activities, supporting social, physical, and intellectual well-being. Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and English proficiency; a minimum of one year in an activities department at a hospital or similar facility is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year experience in Activities Department in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or related medical facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document daily participation in residents' activities.
• Promote residents' social, physical, and intellectual well-being.
• Plan, develop, and implement recreation programs for the facility.
• Participate in community marketing events as needed.
• Assist with resident care goals within the team framework.
• Communicate residents' mood and involvement to staff.
• Handle audits, forms, and reports as needed.
• Set up, break down, and decorate for events.
• Transport residents to and from daily activities.
