Job summary

OSU Oregon State University is seeking a part-time Accounting Program Marketing and Outreach Student Assistant for OSU‑Cascades in Bend. You will craft content, manage social media, plan and staff events, and support alumni and employer outreach, under direct supervision of the program coordinator.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a college or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
• Must meet enrollment requirements (term eligibility) for employment as a student.
• Undergraduate/Graduate status with required term hours (e.g., 6 credits for undergrad, 5 for grad).
• Graduate/International enrollment hours may vary by USCIS rules.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit content promoting the accounting major to prospective students, current students, alumni, and the Central Oregon business community.
• Maintain the program’s social media presence with a content calendar and cross-channel publishing.
• Plan and staff events such as information sessions, panels, networking nights, and student club activities.
• Support alumni relations by maintaining contact lists and coordinating speakers, mentors, and event participants.
• Represent the accounting program at campus and community events (orientation, major fairs, etc.).
• Assist with media outreach by drafting pitches and coordinating with OSU‑Cascades and Marketing staff.
• Research peer programs and outreach opportunities, write summaries, and provide general program support.
• Work remotely on content drafting and design; attend on-site events as needed.
