Job summary

Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business is seeking part-time Adjunct Instructors in Accounting to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses on an as-needed basis. Courses may be delivered in-person or online depending on departmental needs.

This is a temporary, part-time position. Responsibilities include providing high-quality instruction, developing course materials, assessing student performance, maintaining accurate records and submitting grades, and fostering an inclusive

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required; CPA, CMA, or PhD preferred.
• Previous college/university teaching experience is preferred.
• Professional experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software, and online learning platforms (Canvas, Blackboard) for course delivery.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to engage diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality instruction in accounting to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
• Develop and deliver course materials that align with the curriculum and learning objectives.
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects; provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit grades per university policies.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student success.
• Adhere to academic integrity and ethical teaching practices; follow university and department policies.
