Job summary

Temple Square Hospitality, located inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in Salt Lake City, is seeking an Accounting Operations Assistant (Part-Time). You will join a dedicated Finance team and gain hands-on experience processing deposits, reconciliations, and vendor invoicing.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, have strong Excel skills, and show attention to detail and integrity in handling confidential financial information.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and record daily cash deposits in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
• Perform cash reconciliations, balance cash activity, and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Process accounts payable invoices by scanning, reviewing, and coding expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Review vendor statements, reconcile outstanding balances, and resolve discrepancies through vendor communication.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare recurring sales journal entries and assist with month-end sales-related accounting activities.
